2008 Race Season is here!

MY future driver in training.  Say hi to Ian.  Hopefully he will be at some of the races this year.

 

 

 

At last we dust off the cars and hit the track.  This year JW Racing has a new 08 BMS Modified and Casey's car has been upgraded from Hobby Stock to Street Stock.

 

In April we took the cars to Lexington for testing.  The track was very dry and very slick.  We found out that Coles rear wheel opening wasn't big enough in about two laps cutting down the left rear tire.

Casey's drive shaft not strong enough as it twisted in two right in the middle and bent the spool  Geez, you don't have to put your foot thru the firewall.

May 17- North Platte- Track was dusty with good bite on the back stretch and turns 3 and 4.  It was a door slamming event, most of the mods had some kind of racing rash on them.  Cole  finished around mid pack, first time out with new car.

                                               

May 18-Phillips County-Track was good.  Cole ended up in first and Casey did quite well running up towards the front and at the back.  Just going to take some seat time to get it all figured out.
